Fresh figs are ripening in abundance in late Summer here in North Florida. They make excellent jam and are great eaten fresh. If you want to impress your friends, with a little effort and a lot of figs you can make this stunning fig tart. Most of the varieties of figs commonly grown in this area are small compared to the more traditionally California grown Black Mission fig. I think the small figs make for a better presentation on this tart.
